TWO WAYS TO TAKE THE MROCC CERTIFICATION EXAMINATIONS
1. ONSITE: MROCC certification examinations are administered on location following MRO training courses
sponsored by ACOEM and ASAM.
2. ONLINE: Both Initial certification and Recertification examinations may be taken online using a computer
and highspeed Internet connection. See specific information regarding the online exams:
ONLINE INITIAL CERTIFICATION EXAMINATION:
Physicians registering for the Initial MRO Certification may take an online version of the Initial Certification
examination. The online Initial exam is taken at home or at the office with an Internet connection, is three-

means to MRO certification. An immediate Pass/Fail determination is given at the end of the exam and a
detailed graph showing areas of weakness and strengths within each MRO competency area is provided.
ONLINE RECERTIFICATION EXAMINATION:
Physicians who are recertifying their MRO credentials may recertify online at home or at the office using a
high-speed Internet connection and Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. This open-book - not timed - exam
provides immediate Pass-Fail determination along with 2 retest opportunities. The exam must be taken
within 12 months of training, and from your first logon you have a full 30 days to log on and off (SAVE
feature) from the exam prior to submitting your answers for scoring. Combine the online examination with
one or more of MROCC's Category 1 CME activities for the most cost-effective and convenient way to
