Under DOT, MROs who completed their initial training and exam prior to August 1, 2001, must have completed 12 hours of CME before August 1, 2004 [49 CFR §40.121(d)]. Subsequently, MROs must obtain additional MRO updating (12 hours of CME) every three years to remain in compliance. MROCC also requires these 12 hours of CME within the past three years for MROs who wish to recertify. The CME opportunities listed below fulfill this requirement.
The first two CME activities are based on MROCC's manual The Medical Review Officer Team: MROCC's Guide For MROs and MRO Assistants . Information on these two publications may be found on the publisher's website: www.oempress.com or by calling OEM Press at (800) 533-8046.
The third activitiy is based on MROCC's Monograph Series. The individual titles of each available monograph is listed.
