MANUALS and CME ACTIVITIES
In this rapidly changing arena it is imperative for MROs to be up-to-date in the latest technologies, procedures
and regulations. MROCC's challenging and innovative CME activities are written by leaders in the field of drug
testing, and provide practical and detailed learning experiences for MROs in both regulated and non-regulated
testing programs. The CME obtained from MROCC activities is AMA PRA Category 1 and may be used to fulfill
state requirements for CME updating.
The American Board of Preventive Medicine has approved both of the activities listed below for MOC Credit.
A. Based on the Medical Review Officer's Manual: MROCC's Guide to Drug
Testing, 4th edition (published May 2010)
MRO MANUAL WITH RECERTIFICATION EXAM (18 CME | 18 MOC)
This is the most cost-effective means to recertification! The total cost of this activity is $540 and includes the
online recertification examination plus up to 18 category 1 CME credit hours ($495 for the online exam plus $45
for the CME activity = $540). The price for this activity does not include the manual.
If the recertification exam is taken onsite rather than online, the total cost for this activity is $440. This activity
fulfills both DOT and MROCC recertification requirements. This is a convenient and cost-effective way to fulfill
DOT's MRO retraining requirement AND to maintain MRO Certification. (separate recertification examination
registration required!)
B. Based on the Medical Review Officer Team Manual: MROCC's Guide for
MROs and MRO Assistants
MRO TEAM MANUAL WITH RECERT EXAM (16 CME)
This is another cost-effective means to recertification - especially if you are utilizing (or are contemplating
hiring) an MRO Assistant! The total cost of this activity is $530 and includes the online recertification
examination plus up to 16 category 1 CME credit hours ($495 for the online exam plus $35 for the CME activity
If the recertification exam is taken onsite rather than online, the total cost for this activity is $430. This activity
fulfills both DOT retraining requirement and MROCC recertification requirements. This is a convenient and
cost-effective way to fulfill DOT's MRO updating requirement AND maintain MRO Certification. (Separate
recertification exam registration required!)
