Now there are options!  Physicians wishing to recertify with MROCC may opt for the online in-home or in-office exam, or take the exam at MROCC headquarters (arranged on an individual or group basis, contact MROCC for details) or following any of the onsite MRO courses provided by ACOEM or ASAM.  Contact MROCC for full details and for availability dates.

Physicians who already have or had MRO certification through MROCC or AAMRO may recertify with MROCC's online examination in the convenience of their own home or office using the latest technology and the same high quality of standards that MROCC-certified physicians have enjoyed for years.

For physicians who meet the recertification requirements, this open-book, in-home or in-office recertification examination is conveniently web-based, accessible from any computer with a high-speed Internet connection and Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher.  No more traveling to an exam site or taking time away from the office.  There is nothing to obtain in the mail and nothing to mail back  Take up to 30 days to complete and submit your answers!  Log on and off at-will!  Know if you Passed or Failed Immediately after submitting your exam for scoring!  And, receive detailed information showing how well you did in each of the five MRO Competencies areas.   Of course, this flexible and practical option maintains the quality and integrity of the MROCC examination - a hallmark of MROCC certification!

MROCC Certification is valid for SIX Years

Be Confident that your MRO certification status is recognized by the Department of Transportation!  Recertification fulfills the DOT requirement for MRO certification, and assures those in need of MRO services that the MRO is up-to-date in the latest technologies, advances and policies within the MRO arena.  This in-home or in-office examination is designed as a self-evaluation tool to help the MRO measure and evaluate his or her own knowledge base, and offers them a learning experience that assures they are confident and current in the performance and practice of their MRO duties.

Starting in 2008, the Medical Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC) will offer a new recertification program for physicians holding current or previous MRO certification from MROCC or AAMRO.  Like its current online examination, the new MROCC program permits physicians to easily and economically take the MRO recertification examination online from any computer with a high-speed Internet connection.  Based on feedback from Certified MROs, MROCC’s new recertification utilizes the latest technologies and cutting-edge practices to create the most dynamic, physician-friendly online credentialing program available.

THE NEW MROCC RECERTIFICATION EXAMINATION has been redesigned to be the most efficient and economic method for recertifying MRO Credentials while maintaining the highest levels of integrity and quality of standards.  Some of the new features include:
